View source for Siren7 and siren14 for Asterisk

G.722.1 is the same thing as Siren7, and G.722.1 Annex C is the same thing as Siren14. These codec's are used in the newer Polycom devices that advertise HD Voice.<br><br>
There are a couple of steps to installing the siren codec for Asterisk.

== siren 7 ==
The first thing you need to do is to download the [http://downloads.digium.com/pub/telephony/codec_siren7/benchsiren7/ benchmark binary] for your platform and then execute.  This will tell you which module you will need to download.

For my installation it recommended barcelona.

== siren 14 ==
As with siren7 you need to download the appropriate benchmark application for [http://downloads.digium.com/pub/telephony/codec_siren14/benchsiren14/ siren14] and then the required codec.  for my installation it once again recommended the barcelona codec.
